twittering

Spent last two days posting promos on twitter, visiting blogs, and organizing our referral notes to be able to promo other associated shops more efficiently. It would seem there is no end. FB has suffered from neglect while we are gearing up on Twitter! UGH! FB has actually generated sales too. Our number of views on product has greatly increased since joined WWES group via twitter so that was wonderful to see! Now I think we need to re-take some product photos, update descriptions, and also post a pic of every piece we have through hootsuite to get the URL more exposure. Stained glass ....well we've a smaller commission order pending which we should be doing and NEED TO GET ON! Hopefully today we'll get the glass cut for it. We did go get the glass that was a start I guess. Taxes are pending as well, about 1/2 done now just the business side to throw in the mix! It's been busy to say the least. Son's wedding coming up in April over in Europe; looking forward to that time away with Beth. Blessings to all our friends!

It appears that for the current time creating and selling stained glass is our line of work! Not sure what brought us down this avenue but surely there is a purpose. We'll go with it and see where it leads us. Beth (wife) still works full time in a flower shop which is the love of her life. Last company I worked for conducted a "reduction in force" and eliminated my position. All in all I was initially saddened by this loss of the income stream but events happen for a reason. In the end the company folded and ended up not paying many employees (who hung in there!) 4,5 and even 6 weeks pay! There were good people there and I really felt bad for them People lost their homes because of nonpayment just around Christmas time too. I don't understand the heartlessness of the owners (past) that operated that company at all. There is a rant there about the "corporate mentality but we'll hold that for another time. So here we are in the stained glass business. Art has always been a huge part of our lives whether it was individually or family everyone is/has been/and continues to be involved with some type of art forever. Myself I have been creating/learning about stained glass now for about four years I'd guess. There is so much to learn it's always new and exciting! We've been blessed to do commissions for wonderful clients and now our art hangs in homes all over the US and in the Yucatan, MX too! It's been fulfilling but also scary to rely on oneself for the daily bread. Then again we pray it works out and it's not really in our hands now is it.
